SYMPHO NYMPHO – The Beginning (Album Preview)

Dance Music legends Erick Morillo, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero and Jose Nunez unite to form super group “Sympho Nympho”

The dance music world is about to be knocked off its foundation as three of dance music’s most acclaimed producers – Erick Morillo, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero and Jose Nunez – have combined forces to form the super group Sympho Nympho. The band has a massive Miami Music Week in store with a brand new Subliminal Records compilation The Beginning and exclusive live performance at Subliminal Session at Amnesia on Tuesday, March 20.

Together under the Sympho Nympho guise they create intense drama with their use of delays, frequency and reverbs to build climactic tensions and nerve tingling crescendos.
Well respected, chart-topping vocalists have travelled from all over the globe to join forces; each sharing the same vision of returning groove based beats to the popular masses.

The first taste of Sympho Nympho original productions and remixes are available exclusively via their debut compilation, The Beginning. It’s jam-packed with brand new original material including “Build It Up (In Your Face Mix), “We Groove (Sympho Nympho Dub Remix)” and “Make You Sweat (Sympho Nympho Remix)” plus the already-classic Sympho Nympho remix of Erick Morillo & Eddie Thoneick feat. Skin “If This Ain’t Love.” Additional Sympho Nympho remixes of Eddie Amador & Harry Choo Choo Romero feat. Countre Black “We Are The Beautiful Ones, David John “Mr. Fantastic,” Alexandra Burke feat. Erick Morillo “Elephant,” Craig David feat. Erick Morillo “Get Drunk Up” and In The Screen feat. Rachael Starr “Keep On Dancin” sit along site personal favorites from the likes of Bart B More & Tai, Todd Terry & House Of Gypsies, Robbie Rivera, Tommy Trash, Afrojack & R3Hab, Zedd and much more.

Erick Morillo needs very little introduction, a household name, a platinum selling artist, a producer who has topped the charts worldwide with the Real 2 Reel hit “I Like To Move It” and the owner of Subliminal Records. He’s produced under pseudonyms including Ministers De La Funk (along with Harry and Jose), RAW, Smooth Touch, RBM, Deep Soul, Club Ultimate, Li’l Mo Ying Yang, has remixed everyone from Whitney Houston to Basement Jaxx, from the Sneaker Pimps to Macy Gray and has collaborated with the likes of Puff Daddy. He’s big in the game to say the least.

It was while working on The Dronez material with Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero and Jose Nunez, producers of percussive, funky tracks Cro-Magnon and Erectus – Subliminal Records – that the concept for Sympho Nympho was born. “We kinda soaked up all musical genres since the late 70′s between us,” says Jose. “We wanted to explore our diversity in a new dimension for us – popular music. It’s a radio friendly sound where we’ve morphed all our ideas and influences.” Harry adds, “With Sympho Nympho, we get to be more playful and express ourselves in a totally different way than before. It’s a new boundary for us, that we are having a blast discovering.”

2012 will be the year of Sympho Nympho – Confirmed for April is single release of Sympho Nympho Feat. Segarra “Beautiful Reality” with a Sympho Nympho artist album and further collaborations with big time talent including Dizzee Rascal, Wyclef Jean, Pitbull and Sean Paul in the pipeline.

Erick Morillo Tour Diary Summadayze Australia 2012

01 Jan 2012: Summadayze, Melbourne

It was a pretty long flight to Australia and upon landing there was no time rest as we made our way over to Melbourne. This was the beginning of a three day tour called Summadayze festival. What an amazing line up! We were sharing the stage this afternoon with Snoop Dog, Calvin Harris, Pendulum, Markus Shultz just to name a few. I’m sure you’ll agree it was pedigree of the highest order. Erick rocked up to the stage and the crowd let out a huge roar. There were so many pretty girls in this crowd. Just take look for yourself at the photos. Our boy Marco from Those Usual Suspects stopped by to say hello. If you don’t know, he made that huge record “walking alone”, with Dirty South! What an amazing performance by Erick and from the looks of this crowd they agree!! Special thanks to all that showed up!

02 Jan 2012: Summadayze, Gold Coast

Next stop Gold Coast and day two of our Summadayze tour. We were playing a bit later in the evening. So we had a few hours to catch some of other performances, and let me tell ya there were some great acts! Calvin Harris was killing it dropping his huge hit “Feel So Close”! The crowd were going CRAZY! I mean they always go crazy for a big record, but this time they were going, CRAZY! They must be playing that on the radio over here, the whole place knew that beat. Next up Subliminal Records’ own Erick Morillo! The energy was thru the roof this evening! Erick was playing so many new records and I just cant get over how the crowd was reacting. Erick was in great spirits! There are quite a few bangers due to drop on Subliminal from Erick, Eddie T, Carl Kennedy, Skin and more. Erick jumped on a security guy’s shoulder and took a picture with this energetic crowd! It was so funny! Erick even played a bootleg of Adele smash hit “Someone Like You” The crowd held their lighters in the air. What a sight and what an amazing way to end the evening. Not like me, but I was emotional man. People need this kind of healing in their lives. Only good vibrations from the music, man.

03 Jan 2012: Summadayze, Perth

Two down and one to go. I was feeling pretty good. Touring can take a lot of energy out of you, with not much sleeping and traveling almost constantly, but Australia has good warm energy this time of year. We made our way to Perth and this was the conclusion to this amazing Summadayze tour. As I walked unto the stage, Markus Shultz had the crowd going in a frenzy! He passed the reigns over to Erick Morillo who just smashed it! Erick played his big record “Elephant”, the new joint with UK singer Alexandra Burke, keep your ears open for this record. I can’t believe that I even saw the Colombian flag in the audience! I wonder if it’s the same flag in all the shows? LOL. It sure does get around. Erick has some loyal fans all over the world. My boy Detroit house hustler Seth Troxler stopped by to say hello and take a peak at the madness! Have to say Erick was in great spirits again and he showed this crowd 2012 will be a very big year for Subliminal! Special thanks to Brett, Emily and the whole entire family of Future Entertainment for putting together one heck of a festival! Austraaaaaaaaaaliiiia, we cant wait to be back!!!!!!!! Love you.
